Real estate provides a natural landing spot for Mark and his innovative marketing approach where he’s constantly looking to create value for homeowners and buyers - regardless of their goals – as well as efficiencies for both himself and his processes. An innovative marketer, Mark’s past experiences include the development of a referral marketing system for the cruise line industry.

Through raising of significant outside capitol, Mark became the only outside vendor to successfully negotiate the implementation of his innovative system in every ship, in every cabin for a major cruise operator – Carnival Corporation – a multi-billion-dollar company owning seven major cruise lines. In addition, Mark’s experience includes private labeling, trademarking, and successfully negotiating distributorships across 21 countries around the world for his skin care product, Serutox, over a ten-year period resulting in millions of dollars sold from his home office. Mark’s extensive dealings and negotiations with Vice Presidents of multi-billion dollar including Allergan – manufacturers of Botox – coupled with Mark’s Finance degree from San Diego State University, provides a broad range of experience and knowledge in negotiations.

Mark feels the most important skill he’s curated in 35 years of business, sales, and marketing is his ability to listen to a client’s needs. “Without understanding exactly what a client wants, making them happy becomes more of an accident. Too often people in sales are more concerned with overcoming objections and what to say next than they are listening to their client. My experience allows me to relax and really understand what my client wants. This focus works whether you’re talking to a child or the head of a multi-billion-dollar company. Serving becomes very simple once you understand that.”

Mark lives in La Costa with his wife of 18 years, Sandra, and their 15-year-old boy Jaden. The most important thing in Mark’s life – and shared by his family- is their relationship with Jesus Christ. One goal Mark has is to get more involved in homeless outreach with plans to serve within some of the opportunities provided at AARE.
